Dr Manala Ramasela Makua is the Chief Director for Women’s, Maternal and Reproductive Health at the National Department of Health in South Africa. There, she oversees the Directorate: Women’s Health and Genetics unit and the Directorate: Maternal, Newborn Care and PMTCT unit. She also leads on cancer awareness, reproductive health advocacy, genetic disorders, maternal and newborn care, and HPV vaccination awareness campaigns. Previously, she served in the post of Director: Women’s Health and Genetics.
