While pre-eclampsia is a leading cause of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality, the capability to diagnose pre-eclampsia is still limited. Concept Foundation, Policy Cures Research and Burnet Institute have mapped the R&D of diagnostics for pre-eclampsia and other pregnancy conditions. In this report, they outline their findings from this analysis – revealing few approved diagnostics, limited interest from the industry, and delays in translating our understanding of pre-eclampsia into diagnostics innovation.
